Since yesterday, when I rename an activity (to give it more description in the title), it reverts back to the default name it was given when I uploaded it as soon as I click away from it. Anyone know what's going on here?
Same problem for me - changed names correct in activity view, but not in activities list, they just unchanged there. Everything was ok until Saturday 22nd September. VERY ANNOYING!!!
The symptoms indicate that the raw data, as created by the GPS , is being stored intact. The change of NAME, and the addition of a CATEGORY (along with other new data), is being stored in a separate related data table (there is a relation database in the back end of what we are seeing).
Some views of the records are being displayed with the new Name, and the added Category. The Activity List view is pulling in the data only from the original record created by the GPS, and is not pulling in the new, related record, that was created when the new name and category were assigned.
But what is strange, is why it is doing that only for records created during the last few days. Records created earlier than that are displaying with the new name and assigned category.
Does anyone from GARMIN monitor these FORUM Threads? This is an issue that they need to address.
Getting the same, cant change some activities from Walking to Hiking so they show in the correct reports. The change sticks in the detailed page of the activity but doesn't show on the activity list page.
Yes, since the software version 4.11.1.0 was updated, under the list of activities, the default activity name is being displayed. Even if you rename it... And the comment/notes are not being displayed. Actually, the added comment is like another text field inside a Notes text field.
Actually, it is not. They should revert/back out changes to make it working for users. Developers should play in a separate environment to find out the root cause of the issue and find a remedy.
Last time, when the activity export to CSV was broken, it took them 6 months to fix it...

I am getting a problem where I am uploaded a .fit file from a Forerunner 10. When I changed it to a cycle ride (from running) and then go back to the activities page, it then says 'running' again. Can anyone at Garmin fix this, because it messes up the records for the monthly total running distance?
I am having the exact same problem as spiraliner - can we have an update re progress on fixing as it's messing up my monthly totals, it started on Sat 22nd, everything is reverting back to running.
