Accidentally discarded activity

Several times I have discarded an activity accidentally. I stop an activity and then somehow manage to accidentally do two taps and then my activity is discarded. Is it possible to retrive this?
As Garmin uses fat32 file system, then I used restore programs and managed to to get this file (.fit), but uploading to garmin connect does not work (file not suitable).
Is there any way to retrive discarded acitvity?

In general Garmin could automatically save every activity and could offer deleting them later, not immediately after activity.

Hi,

in a really stupid way, I stopped the run on the finish line and as I put on the thermal cape it crawled across the screen and i only saw it was eliminating the race!!

Hi, I did not manage to get the .fit file inside the Activities folder because it is not there anymore. I managed to find some tmp files coincident with my activity, and some "Summary" files also coincident with it, but I do not know if this is enough... can anybody help?

hi, sure, sorry for being rude. I was going for a 40 km ride today and I stopped my Garmin 520 when I arrived. I did not press Discard or Save activity, simply forgot, and when I went to check, there was no activity recorded whatsoever. Thanks for trying to recover the data anyways.

so the files I extracted from the Edge, but I guess these are the heart rate monitoring files that the Edge stores (because I measure the hear rate with a Fenix?).

I used DMDE to recover the file, unfortunately I had already re-started the Edge just to try to find the activity, so I guess it was permanently deleted at that time...

Hi all,

my Garmin Edge 530 deleted the data from my last activity (I just paused it and it was not there to be saved anymore), but I managed to recover the .fit file using DMDE:

For some reason, I cannot upload it to Garmin Connect because it says that the file is corrupt, but it seems to have the right size, and so on, could somebody give me a hand repairing the file? Thanks a lot
