HRM Run Pod

Does anyone know what size / type of screwdriver is required to remove the TINY screws in an HRM Pod? Also - does anyone know what the replacement screws are - I'm sure I've rounded them off somewhat in an attempt to extract them - my 935 is reporting low battery in HRM so I guess it needs replacing! Thanks!
  • BrianWard62 Hi Brian - don't know what the screws are but I recently did something similar on my old HRM Run and I contacted Garmin support and they were kind enough to post me some new screws free of charge when I sent them a pic showing the model number etc

I tried to get mine out recently and failed miserably. The sweat had clearly caused the screws to get stuck. Ended up taking it to a computer repair shop. Cost me AU$20 for two, but at least they got changed. Planning to put some silicone grease in the holes shortly in a bid to attempt to foil a repeat. I'm not keen on buying one of the new all-in-one straps. I currently have the older version with the separate straps and module.
  • I e-mailed Garmin Support (UK) 4 days ago - as yet they haven't responded! :(
  • I asked them for screws twice for my HRM-Tri but they kept sending incorrect types. I just bodged it instead.
  • So basically, in the end, Garmin Support offered no support at all other than recommending that I take my HRM POD to a jeweller to get the battery replaced! Not impressed!!
  • BrianWard62 sorry to hear that - it did take about a week before I got screws from Garmin support it probably depends on who picks up your mail
