Garmin Forerunner 235 froze last night, now HR logs are all wrong timestamps

Last night while I was sleeping, the watch face of my Garmin Forerunner 235 froze at around 3:00. I woke up around 8:30, and saw that the face was off time, restarted the watch, and the time was still at 3:xx (a few minutes past 3:00, but I don't remember exactly). The watch was seemingly acting fine, but the time was just off by several hours, and a few minutes.

Attempting to get the time right, I synced with my phone - which was no help. I then set the time manually instead of automatically, but found a new problem. Now my heart rate monitor data keeps logging on with timestamps from last night, instead of with the newly set time. After several watch reboots, phone syncs - and even a watch reboot where I first turned off the HR monitor and then turned it back on again after the reboot - the HR line seen on Garmin Connect is still shown for the wrong time (see the attached image, where you can see the heart rate go up a little after "3:00", when I woke up and started doing things instead of sleeping, and the line kink in the end is when I turned off and then on the HR monitor).

Any suggestions on what to do to fix this? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1401551.jpg
