my Garmin etrex 10 in Europe

Not sure if this is the right spot, but it looks as good as any to ask. I have a question I've been puzzling over. We're going to Europe in a couple of weeks and I was debating taking my etrex 10 along. I don't need it for navigating. I just want to mark the location of where I take photos. Possibly getting from the train station to my hotel if I have the GPS coordinates. Now we know the etrex 10 doesn't have any loaded maps. So is there any reason it wouldn't work in Europe? Haven't been able to find this answer anywhere on the net. I don't see why it wouldn't work in Europe, but I figure no harm in asking somebody that would know!
