Wind Direction NULL in Garmin Connect

For some time now, when viewing an activity in Garmin Connect, the wind direction shown on the detail dialog of the temperature display at the upper right of the map view is not displayed in Garmin Connect. The circle display always shows the wind direction at 0 degrees North, while the text displayed is "X mph [weather.wind.direction.null] wind". The displayed direction in the mobile app is usually correct, but it too, occasionally, display 0 degrees North when the wind was clearly not from that direction.

Any suggestions on how to "fix" Garmin Connect? I've tried logging out and back in, with no change in behavior. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1397287.png

The wind direction is a known issue across Connect. It's not just you.

Our team is working on resolving the issue.

I have found a bug report on this exact subject dated 2014 along with an empty promise by Garmin Support to fix it. They really are a disgrace. They treat their customers with contempt and the sooner they are put out of business by Wahoo the better.
