Steps Challenge "Gathering Results" Bug

A steps challenge I set up with friends ended this Sunday. It's now Tuesday and it still says it's "Gathering Results" and hasn't officially marked the winner or changed to "Past Challenges." Is this a know issue? How can it be fixed?
My challenges have been open since August 14, 2019. That is, my August 13, 2019, challenges have been awarded their 2 Garmin Points. I've deleted participants who have not synced, the same as I always do each morning for the slow sync-runners among us. These activities are my manual Connection Challenges, not the automatic Garmin Challenges. I now have "gathering results" for steps, runs, daily, weekend, and weekly challenges. What is the fix?
Now it is 6:00 PM on 8/19/2019 with no resolution to any challenges ending after midnight of August 14. Challenges ending at midnight on August 13 have been closed and the awards made.
Same for me since 15 Aug, challenges that should be finished were still gathering results. I reinstalled application and deleted all old challenges, but the problem still occurs.
Now it is 10:00 AM on 8/21/2019 with no resolution to any challenges ending after midnight of August 14. All ended challenges from August 14 to August 20 are "gathering results." Everyone remaining has synced. For the people who were slow in syncing, I deleted them from the ended challenges.
