Hartrate data from activity not in Garmin Connect?

I have a Vivosmart HR and an Edge 800.

See picture attached: why is my activity data not visible in Garmin Connect, consolidated with the data from my vivosmart? Is this a setting in Connect?

I'm 100% sure my Edge has HR-data from my chest-band.

Tnx in advance for the help! ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1391106.png
  • The why is simply that things aren't implemented that way. No, you have no say in that.

Is your Edge 800 device capable of connecting to an external ANT+ device and use heart rate data being streamed from the latter while it is recording an activity? If so, and you want HR data in the activity records created byt the Edge 800, then get an ANT+ capable chest strap or armband or wrist-worn HR monitor.

Do not expect Garmin Connect to identify (or allow you as the user to identify) two or more activities that, for all intents and purposes, are recorded independently by different devices, and then combine them into one activity record enriched with information that may be present only from one source or the other.

    Thank you for your reaction!

Yes, my Edge 800 is capable of connecting to external ANT+ devices, I use 3 when I ride my bike. It records all data from chest band and 2 other ANT+ devices.

I don't want Connect to combine 2 activities. When I ride my bike, I put off my Vivosmart HR and record HR on my Edge. I now see no HR-record in Connect for the period I rode my bike, but am sure that connect has the data. When I view at the details of my activity, it shows really detailded HR data. So that makes me wonder why Connect doesn't combine that HR data on my HR timeline...
