I have both a Montana 650 and a Zumo, and having come from a previous work background where I was responsible for our organisation's mapping application, I could set at what levels roads and contours would appear/disappear as people zoomed in and out as per their needs.
The Garmin world being new to me, it has got me wondering whether it is possible to for instance stop the roads fading off too early when I zoom out. What might be okay in a city is less than useful in rural Australia where towns are a long way apart and I can't see connecting roads between towns because someone at Garmin has set some arbitrary layer zoom level that fades them out.
