Calories not adjusting when Elevation Correction enabled

My 910xt has a broken barometer. It malfunctioned after the watch flew in my suitcase across the country. After that it's never worked right; sometimes stuck at 65000 and other days jumping. So when I sync with Garmin Connect I know the elevation metric is going to be wrong. So I enable the Elevation Correction.

But, the calorie count doesn't adjust.

This means that on days when the barometer is jumping all over the place my workout could have an elevation change of 60,000 feet and Connect thinks I burned 12,000 calories.

Not a huge deal but since I sync my Garmin account with other sites like MapMyRide and BeginnerTriathlete those sites are getting erroneous data too.

Any way this can be corrected short of me getting the 910xt repaired?
