BUG: Garmin Connect (for Android) does not display negative values for FIT metrics

An App of mine records metrics that can take negative values (e.g. vertical speed).
In Garmin Connect for Android, all FIT metrics are displayed from 0 to +... (negative values being truncated)
In connect.garmin.com, those metrics are displayed as expected (negative values included)

I noticed the same issue today when I tried out a data field that plotted a gradient graph. This is still the case even on the latest Connect IQ app (4.9.4). Take a look at my attached images below. The android app is incapable of plotting negative values whereas the web based app does. When will Garmin fix this issue ?

  • 2 years later and still no response or fix apparently.  just got a user of my datafield asking the same question.  data displays fine fine in iOS and web.

Are there any updates on this issue?

I experience the same problem with the Android Garmin Connect app (both tablet and phone, android 9 and 10). Negative values from the datafield in the FIT file are not processed in the chart on the Android app.

The iPhone/iPad app and the chart in the Connect web interface do show all the correct values, both positive and negative, so it seems to be an issue in the Android app only.
