is something causing the HRM, the, to stay on, killing the battery? My initial Fenix 3 was stolen so I bought another one off Amazon for a good deal. Nothing appears to be wrong with it. I did a software update. Still same issue.

does garmin sell any rechargable chest straps that will work with the fenix? thx
  • What strap model do you have? The strap stays on as long as it detects impulses on the electrodes. This can happen sometimes even if the strap is not worn on the body. To make sure that the strap is off, disconnect the sensor (older straps) or make sure the electrodes are dry and do not touch anything when stored (newer straps).

I have a newer one, it has the red rubber on it. i got it new in 2016 w/the fenix 3
  • Then it's the new HRM-Run strap, probably. In this case you can't disconnect the sensor from the strap. Just take care that, when you put it away for storage, the electrodes are dry and clean, and do not touch anything.
