Edit activity log later if I forget to hit “stop”?

Every so often after a recorded hike/bike, I realize I didn’t stop logging it when I jumped back in the jeep... so my hike shows me suddenly moving 25 mph back down a canyon... screws up everything.

Any way to edit & trim back the activity so I can force it to end when it should have, rather than when I remember to stop my watch?

Thanks,
Brian

  • That's what I was thinking too

  • I guess it doesn't work when it's captured as a triathlon

You probably did not see my post, explaining how to do it, because there were several other ones in the meantime, pushing it back. I framed it now, so it is better visible. Check it out.

  • Hi I just had an activity on my watch for snowboarding and after I finished at the resort I got into my car and started driving. I didn’t realize that I didn’t stop my activity until 10 min later. I can see the edit but how do I cut the beginning/ end of the map. I don’t think I see that option. The only thing I do see is that I’m able to change distance in its own, my average speed on its own and a lot of other data.

  • In the meantime the editing of individual legs of a multisport activity is possible in Garmin Connect, as well as trimming them. However, similarly as at simple (non-multisport) activities, the Trim function is available only at a few selected basic activity types like Running, Cycling, or Walk. If you want to trim an activity of another type, you have to change its type to one of the previously named ones, trim the activity (or the leg of the multisport activity), and then set back the original type again.
