guys there is now a solution in connect.garmin.com
simply choose the activity, hit edit (top right corner) and scroll down to trim activity. There is a scroll bar that you use to trim beginning and end…
I don't understand why it isn't available on every activity type?!?
Hard to tell, but you can trim an activity of any type easily - change the type temporarily to Run or Cycling, trim…
Very useful and thanks for sharing!

this is brilliant. i rarely bothered to correct old rides or runs because of the pain that was Garmin basecamp.

From one Steve to another: thanks! :-)
Thanks to point out that solution. It's great for the 'Run' activity', but it isn't available on 'Cross-Country Skiing'.

This would be awesome if I could find it. I recorded a triathlon and just forgot to hit stop at the end. I can change what displays on the run but when I go into edit it just comes up with all the data fields to manually type in a different number, o chart to just trim off the end..
