Hi All!
I am not sure if this question belongs here, of it it should be in the Vivoactive HR section. Please pardon my goof if I am incorrect. The question concerns a "Sleep Activity" shown in Garmin Connect.
I noticed a "Sleep Badge" and it got me curious because this sleep badge wasn't during my set sleep hours of 11:00pm to 7:00am. Actually, the only time I wear the Vivoactive HR during the set sleep hours of 11:00pm to 7:00am is when I am working night shift. I don't wear it while sleeping at night. (Daytime Naps- yes. Night- no)
Oddly, this sleep badge's linked activity wasn't during those 'sleep' hours. It was from 4:34am to 2:56pm. On that day, from 4:34am until about 6:00am, I was in bed. Between 6:00am and 2:56pm I was out-and-about- wearing the tracker. (Screen Shot attached)
Does the Vivoactive HR figure out one is sleeping, even outside of set sleep hours? (I was almost certain it did not do this.) Even if it does, that chart would not make sense because during most of those hours (after 6:00), I'd have been walking around. It shows restful sleep when I know I was on a morning mile walk.
Could this just be a glitch, or does the Vivoactive HR try to detect sleep? (If it does, it isn't very good at it. I take an 'old guy' nap many days & there are no more sleep records on Connect.)
Thanks for helping me figure this oddity out.
Enjoy This Day!
