Meditation and deep sleep

I normally start my sleep with some meditation, during which I am of course quite still and my heart rate goes down but I am still awake. Due to it being relative close to the sleeping window and actually sleeping, my 645 tracking gets confused and registers this time as deep sleep. This is annoying enough, but it also seems to throw the general sleep cycle detection off because it does not show any other deep sleeping cycles at all.
I was wondering if the algorithm could detect a meditation phase by basically being right of the start of the sleep window, a unlikely timing for going directly into sleep.
Also, I'd like to know if I manually shift the start sleep time the next day, if the sleep cycles get recalculated through the Garmin/Firstbeat backend or not.
