trouble accessing activities on forerunner 630

I was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem. (if no one else, maybe it's something to do with my own computer setup). I use USB to download my FIT files from my garmin 630. After a recent firmware upgrade like a week or two ago, after I finish activities and hit the "save" button, it acts normally (as if it saved the activity), but when I plug it into my computer, there are no fit files in the "Activity" directory. Therefore, haven't been able to save and review my workouts. Not sure what the problem is, but has anyone else experienced this problem?
