2 devices same account?

Hello,

right now, I own a Fenix 5; I'm looking to get a Vivosport which is much smaller.
My question is: can Garmin Connect handles 2 devices & merges the data?
If I start the day with my Vivosport & walk 5000 steps, then switch to the Fenix 5 and run 10000 steps, will my account add the two values?
I've just called Garmin Support in France & they said it wasn't possible but I've read it was so I'm confused.
Will it work or not?

Eric
  • Probably because it's the wrong question/approach.

Vivosport supports TrueUp, and so does the fenix 5. However, it's not Garmin Connect's role to merge the data at the end of the day.
  • If both devices support the TrueUP, then it works. I have a FR 645. However, because of the wifi, it's not allowed in my office (no outside devices with Wifi capabilities). So when I go into the office parking lot, I take that off and put on a VivoSmart HR. At the end of the working day, I reverse. I just make sure both of the devices sync to my Garmin Connect Mobile. Perhaps the VivoSport doesn't support the TrueUp, you might want to look up that feature. If it's not supported, you can look for which devices ARE supported. Hope this helps.
