Today is my first day wearing my new Fenix 5. I wore it to my HIIT class this morning and it said I only burned 72 calories, where my fitbit ionic I had previously would say 150-300 typically. I'm only using the wrist based heart rate as don't have any add-on straps, and didn't plan on getting them for basic workouts. When I can I'll get the HRM-Tri/swim bundle for my tri training.
Is that normal for there to be a drastic difference from a fitbit on calories burned? Does it get more accurate as I wear it more and do more things? I don't know how many actual calories i burn during a 30 minute HIIT workout, but today's was quite the challenge and I have a hard time believing I only burned 72 calories.
