Fenix3 connected to Garmin Connect but don't sync activities

Hi everyone,

I have a Fenix3 and It's impossible to sync new activities to Garmin Connect App since monday (2 days ago). The watch is correctly connected to the app (I receive mobile notifications) and the sync process seems to works fine (the blue arrows turn white and start spinning, the progress indicator starts and finish normaly) but the last activities doesn't appear at App.

The Fenix3 version is 8.90 and Garmin Connect App is up to date (13/06/2018) on an Android phone.

Has anybody anyidea?

Best regards,
Edgar
  • I seem to have the same issue so makes sense to ask questions here instead of starting a new thread. I just got a used Fenix 3, reset it back to factory settings and removed any existing data. I've set up Garmin Connect on my iPhone SE and have installed Garmin Express on my Windows 10 laptop. Everything seems to be connecting OK (I've set up Bluetooth and wifi) but I've just done my first run and I can't seem to get the file out of the watch. It's been saved so I know it's there.

I've synced using the Connect app on the iPhone and it looks like it's working, but I can't see the activity on either my phone or on the Connect browser page when I connect the watch via USB with my laptop. Can someone explain how the files are transferred and to which device I might have a better chance at working out the problem e.g. is it a bluetooth transfer onto my phone which then updates my Connect browser? Sorry if this is basic stuff but I'm just trying to figure out how it all works.

I've got all my sharing options switched off, would that be causing an issue? Thanks.
  • Mine is working now. I'm not sure what I did to fix it either.

I have same problem running 2 weeks now.  I get alerts so I know bluetooth is working.  I've tried removing the watch device, tuned off the watch, turned off the phone, turned them both on, reestablished the bluetooth, and tried to synch but it doesn't work.  Trying to initiate a synch from my phone, the watch seems to start trying to download for a while, then just stops.  A couple of times I got an error message about it appearing busy ("Your device seems to be busy, and your synch request timed out.  Try again later").  I was not able to get any GPS tracks from it.  Trying to initiate a synch from the watch in different ways, I eventually got an error message that the synch was already in progress.  I powered off the watch again, and restarted it.  The synch restarted automatically but again failed.
