Starting a New Account from Scratch

Hi,

Is there a way to wipe an existing Garmin Connect account and start from scratch? I used a Garmin watch a few months ago and had a couple of activities logged + weight + sleep and I just got a new watch and would like to start new.

I deleted all the activities but I still see my weight and all the badges I accumulated from those activities. I tried switching e-mail addresses under profile settings and then tried creating a new account with my original e-mail but the system says there is an account still registered with that address even though I swapped that account with a different e-mail.

Basically I'd like a fresh/blank Garmin Connect account with my original e-mail address without the previous watches history and earned badges so I can start logging from scratch with the new watch. Can this be done without creating a new account with a new/different e-mail address?

  • I would say the easiest is to create a new account. If you have an email concern change the email in your old account and use the email you want in the new account. However, if there were only a few activities, just delete them. You can't touch steps but otherwise you should be ok.

    Thanks, but I changed my e-mail address in Garmin Connect and tried creating a new Garmin Connect with my original Garmin Connect e-mail address but it still says an account already exists even though that account that existed is now linked to a totally different e-mail address. Do you know why this is? I explain my e-mail situation below:

    Garmin Connect Account
    Original e-mail address [email protected]
    Changed it to [email protected]
    Trying to create a new account with [email protected] but it says an account already exists with this e-mail (even though that account was change to [email protected])
