Workout Calendar Not Syncing Once Again - Forerunner 735XT

I'm not sure if there was an update that broke this, but all in the sudden my workout calendar from Garmin Connect isn't syncing with my Forerunner 735. When it was working a couple of weeks ago it would ask me to select my device and click "Done" (Like in my first image). Then it would sync. Now it just says "Your workouts will be sent to your Garmin device next time you sync" instead of asking me to select the device (Like in my second image). And of course it doesn't sync.

Anyone have any suggestions or is this something that was broken in an update?

  • Same issue for me - can't get the calendar to sync at all from the app, but if I send it from the website, and then sync hard-wired from Garmin Express, it will work. Really frustrating as I update my calendar frequently, and having to hard-wire sync is painful, when it should work through bluetooth. I've tweeted Garmin about it a couple of times, but my requests for help have been ignored. Would be really helpful to get an update from Garmin on whether they're aware of the issue, and what's happening to get it resolved.

    I have a case open with Garmin about the same issue, the calendar is not sync via bluetooth. Yesterday I received an email saying that it should be corrected with the next update. They are not sure about the date but it should be corrected with that.

    Today I received an email from Garmin Support saying that they updated the Garmin Connect's version, so I uninstalled the APP from my cellular, installed it again and the calendar sync is working fine now =)
  • Same issue on my Fenix 5S. Even a single workout can not be synced through Garmin Connect Mobile.
  • I have the same issue on the forerunner 235, only I can’t sync the training calendar at all. The app won’t do it, express won’t do it, and Garmin support is no help. There are threads on this topic going back to 2014, so I’m not holding my breath for a fix. Will be shopping for a different brand gps watch next time around.
  • had same issue (neither iphone app nor macbook app did the calendar sync) and I figured out a trick. i opened Garmin Connect via Browser and moved the workout by one day. it asked me if i want only this particular one or the whole training. I chose the whole training. than synced via the garmin app on my macbook and it works. I have again my trainings. In my case i missed a training so shifting is ok. in case you don't want to shift. try the following:

    1. shift 1 day (drag n drop via garmin connect in web browser)

    2. sync

    3. shift back (drag n drop via garmin connect in web browser)

    4. sync

  • I had three training plans on my Garmin Connect calendar (one completed, one current, and one scheduled); I deleted the completed training plan and my calendar started syncing again with my Forerunner 920XT.
