How to Get Average Heart Rate for the Last 20 Minutes out of a 30 Minute session

[h=5]I tried doing a LTHR run test today, consisting of 30 mins run where only the last 20 mins should be counted. The current log in Garmin Connect show the average HR for the whole 30 mins. Is there a way to exclude the first 10 minutes? I forgot to turn off the auto-lap function so it captures several laps, each with their own average HR.[/h]
  • I don't know of any way to do it in Garmin Connect, but you can link your Garmin account to Strava and have your workouts upload to Strava automatically (or you can manually upload it now). In strava you can zoom in on any section of a workout and it shows the averages for that which you have zoomed in on.
  • If autolap was enabled, can't you pick out the laps which more or less fits the last 20 minutes and take an average of those?

That raises a good thought. In the future, if you know you want to see numbers for a segment of an activity, hit the Lap button at the start and end of that segment. They you will get the numbers in the Splits section at the bottom of the page when looking at the activity in Garmin Connect
