Connect not updating steps when no activity is being recorded

I have a Forerunner 935 and if I am not running any specific activity my steps will not appear in Garmin Connect after a sync. If I am doing an activity everything displays correctly.

How can I get my steps to show in Garmin Connect even if I'm not recording an activity?

    HI,

I have the same issue, but it is even worse. I have a Fenix 3HR and since 18 of april no steps, no daily heartrate data and no sleep data is being synced. On the watch I can see my steps and I reach my goals, so it is recording my data but apparently it isn't syncing.

When I do an activity everything seems OK.

    What should we do?

    Thx
  • To add some clarity to this problem, my steps are missing from Connect on my iOS and the Connect website. I think the problem is a setting that needs to be changed on my 935, but which one out of the hundreds?
  • I don't have either of those watches but "Enable Tracking" maybe?
  • pshare, good idea. I had my Activity Tracking Status set to off, I just turned it on and will keep you folks informed.

    >>Select Settings > Activity Tracking > Status ON
  • I just tested pshare's suggestion of explicitly turning on Activity Tracking Status and it fixed my problem. Thank you. :)
