    Do you have this badge?
But where i should choose yards? On my device? I tried change units to yards and swimming and it doesn't work, after synchronization "Garmin Connect" convert it to meters.
  • You have to set the pool size on your watch to a size in yards.

    Thank you! i will try..
  • Hi IOWA_Garmin,

did this work to get the "Make Up Your Mind" badge?

You have to set the pool size on your watch to a size in yards.

Or was there a different solution?

    Kind regards,

    Kalman
  • I am having difficulties too. I set the pool length in either meters or yards, the distance never transfers over so when I put it in manually (in either meters or yards) it automatically converts to meters as my profile is set as metric. Im at a loss of what to do. Im doing a 6 week swimming program so I really want to get this in that time. I have a FR235
  • Where do you set the pool length? On the watch or in Garmin Connect?

I think that for the "make up your mind" badge to work you need to register swimming activities with a swimming-capable device (and the FR235 is not one of them AFAIK).
  • I have come to the conclusion that I wont be able to get this badge with the FR235. Really disappointing. This is what I have tried so far with no success
    1. Downloaded the Pool Swim App
    2. Set distance in app as yrd/mts
    3. App works perfectly during activity but the distance does not transfer over when synced
    4. As per developers reccomendations, exported the activity from Sporttracks.com and then import back to garmin connect
    5. Imports all of the data but to a whole new activity which isn't recognised as a swim.

I wish there was a way for garmin to manually award the badge
  • SOLVED. I struggled getting this but FINALLY figured it out. So you probably have a LOT of swims recorded and sync'd with garmin.connect.  I have the FR735XT but I think any Garmin swimming compatible device will work. Go to Garmin.connect and then click on Activities, then All Activities. Click on one of your recent swimming activities. A bunch of data charts will pull up showing pace, etc.,,, Now click on the Edit icon on the top right of the screen (looks like a pencil). Change the pool size here to the opposite unit. I normally swim a 25 meter pool so I changed the pool size to 27.3 and clicked the dropdown for yards. Note: 27.3 yards = 25 meters. Click Save in the upper right of the screen. You should now have your badge. I did this today, 11Feb22.  It updated immediately and awarded me the badge then I chose to go back and change the data back to meters but this isn't necessary.

  • It would be nice if they would put this in the badge description.  Thanks for the clarification.
