software problems

hi, my the device is connected to the computer i get a message through Garmin Express to update the device software, but I'm not able to do that. I/m getting the feedback that my device memory if full and I should delete my activity files, as far as I know once I've synced the device to Garmin connect that's enough to upload the activities files, moreover I cant see those activities on the device anymore. I've tried to power off and on the device but it didn't help. Anyone got this feedback as well? please advise.
