Hi,
I can assign a club to each shot taken in Garmin Connect in the Scorecards section. The assigned club displays on the hole map. But is that it?
I'd like to get more information out of Connect than that, e.g. average distance per club. Am I missing something or is entering club information a waste of time?
Any comments welcomed.
  • Whether it's a waste of time depends on what you want (or ‘need’) to know, and obviously you wouldn't presume that it is a waste of time for anyone else even if your own information requirements are not met.

Garmin Connect tracks the first-use date and cumulative mileage of each pair of running shoes I choose to create as gear items in its database and assign (manually, or automatically using default assignment rules) to activity records, but it is not going to perform analysis of my average running pace for each pair of shoes, or for what percentage of races (versus training sessions) I've used a particular pair of shoes. However, even if Garmin Connect provide one piece of information (say, total mileage) on each pair of shoes when there are four other things I would like to know about it as the owner/user of the running shoes, it's still not a waste of time for me because it delivers some value that is greater than nil.
