Sleep Analysis - Will it get better?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a FR 645 and am using it to replace both my Fitbit Charge 2 and a well loved Forerunner 620. So far, I'm loving it and seems to work really well. However, the sleep analysis is just nonsense in comparison with Fitbit's. [Maybe Fitbit's is nonsense too - who knows how it really works?] In any case, I had a rotten night of sleep last night and I KNOW I was awake for at least a couple hours and Garmin connect didn't catch it. It thought I was sleeping the whole time!! Fitbit's analysis was much more accurate. Does anyone know if they will be addressing this issue in future updates of the Connect software?

Thanks, Melanie
  • Hi Melanie,

If you are curious and want to learn more about your sleep, you might take a look at the night-time portions of your All-day Stress tracking graph. It won't tell you whether you are asleep or not, but it will show you something about how your body recovered overnight. Not exactly Sleep Tracking, per se, but quite a few folks don't think to use their stress feedback to understand sleep.
