Uploading pic to Activity in iOS

Whenever I take a picture while Im out walking and try to upload it via Garmin Connect on my iPhone the upload always fails. Doesnt matter if it on Wi-Fi or 4G it fails. I email it to myself and do it via the web on my laptop and it works OK. Any reason why??
