I Can't Earn the "Thanks for Sharing" Badge

I think there might be a bug with the "Thanks for Sharing" badge. I have tried sharing multiple activities with various apps (Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, email, SMS...) and have not been able to earn the badge. This isn't a big deal, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or if there is something broken with the badge. Other friends of mine have earned the badge by doing the same thing I did so I am leaning towards something stuck on my account.

I tried sharing an activity over different social media accounts the activity allows and I still have not been awarded the "Thanks for Sharing" badge.

If you shared an activity from GC Web and it did not work, try sharing it from the phone with GC Mobile instead. And vice versa - it it did not work with GC Mobile, try GC Web.

If on Garmin Connect Web, share the activity from the Activity page in the way shown in the screenshot below. If on the phone app, share it as "Web Link", not as Photo.
