The Phone is an LG V20 on the T-Mobile network. Gmail, Yahoo Mail all push successfully . The native SMS app on the V20 does not. What is the solution? Switching to the Google SMS app did not work. The watch, in all other functions I've explored works beautifully! The SMS failure is critical as a caregiver.
If you have updated to the most recent 4.5 version and have confirmed that all of the SMS permissions are enabled in the Garmin Connect Mobile app, we would encourage you to reach out to our Product Support team. Good morning! The solution was found: with Connect settings and version verified, the phone was investigated. LG V20 Settings>Apps>Garmin Connect>Notifications. SMS was not activated, although a second check confirmed is was on the app. Opening the app within settings, SMS was activated and today has been redundantly verified to be working without glitch or inconsistency.
