Ability to read phone notifications with widget without smart notifications

I'd love it if I could see my phone notifications using the widget (on demand) but either without the smart notifications, or the option to disable both audio and vibration alerts for smart notifications.
I don't want the watch to either beep or vibrate every time I get a new notification, but I'd like the ability to take a look with the widget if I need to.

Yes, this is a great idea! Can be easily implemented by adding an option "None" or "Silent" in the menu Phone > Smart Notifications > Sounds.
  • Just to clarify, this is on my 935, but I think it would be nice to have on all wearables.

That doesn't make sense at all. The whole point of notifications is to notify the user, by intruding on his/her conscious attention one way or another, and not just post something on a notice board (figuratively speaking) and let the user's take the initiative to go and review it in his/her own good time.

why not? why intrude? what would be so bad about having only 'on-demand' notifications? why does it _need_ to be this way? e.g. I have my phone in my pocket, feel it vibrating, but don't want to take it out (especially if it happens often), just look at the watch. Why does the watch _have to_ beep or vibrate?
Also, if I'm chatting on my phone (so the screen is on, and I'm actively having a conversation), the watch still vibrates for every message, because it pops up for a fraction of a second on the phone notifications. Quite annoying.
  • You have the "Do not disturb" function on the watch.
The watch doesn't vibrate, but you still can go to see the notifications on the watch (VA3 for me)
