Choosing a new smartphone, hoping it will connect to my VAHR ?

Hi all,

I have a very old phone, so, until now I could only sync through USB.

I want to buy a new phone but I figured out from the forum and this list https://static.garmin.com/gcm/BLE_Android.pdf that BLE compatibility between Garmin products and many android phone is not that easy :(

Do you guys know if there is any other unofficial source of compatibility (user report driven for example) ?

I want to get some medium range phone around 200€-250€ but can't make my choice yet, with lack of user feedback on compatibility with Garmin products, and VAHR particularly...

I could try a friend's Galaxy A5 2017, paired like a charm, but this is far too expensive actually :D (350€ basic price) (This phone is not even referenced as tested on VAHR in Garmin PDF)

Don't you think we could make a kind of complementary list from user's feedback about which mobile/android version/watch they could sucessfully pair ?

Would certainly help...

Otherwise, any feedback from VAHR user on medium range smartphone would help me :D

    I doubt that anybody will be able to give you more than personal experience but, for what it's worth, my personal experience is this: Bluetooth sync works flawlessly with my Sony Xperia XZ.
