I'd like to be able to log women's menstrual cycles within Garmin Connect, as this impacts our bodies and performance. I'd be interested to see if there are any correlations between menstrual cycles and various performance data.
Just put what was happening on the day in the notes of each individual activity record. It's not as if every user (or even just the female ones) have a regular cycle to be meaningfully configured in her Garmin Connect user profile.
I agree with @mia373737.. menstrual cycles can affect many things like performance. Since the Garmin connect app has a health & performance tab that includes things like resting heart rate, all day stress, and sleep.... I'm surprised there is not even talk about adding in menstrual cycle tracking????? Men aren't the only users of Garmin products ;-)
I have a Forerunner 35, so widgets do me no good. I agree with the original poster. Please add it to Garmin Connect. My daughter (a non-runner) has a Fitbit and it is integrated with her app. I was tempted to buy a Fitbit but I know it is an inferior product for runners. Right now I track on a spreadsheet, but it would be nice to have it all in one place so I could see how heart rate, weight, and other things coincide. And adding it to notes, it's not a great feature because when your activity is shared or public, everyone sees it.
I just switched from a FitBit, so losing out on this feature is extremely disappointing. I really enjoyed (and relied on) having predictions and reminders. The notes idea isn't practical and also lacks the data analysis portion. There are plenty of feminine health apps on the market that do an EXCELLENT job tracking symptoms, providing advice, and reminders. Most of these apps will let you integrate with a health app so it can take exercise, sleep, water and food into account. Doesn't seem like Garmin will integrate with Google Fit though, so that's out.
Give us native support or the ability to port out our data.
Garmin just launched this feature yesterday and I'm so happy about it! :) I'd been using a separate app on my phone for the same purpose and would like to know if anyone here has managed to import this kind of data (eg. a .CSV file) into Garmin so you don't have to start tracking at 0.
I couldn't figure out a way to import, Garmin isn't very friendly with sharing data between apps. Instead I back tracked a few months and manually added the data that had corresponding values.
