Sleep types

Hello,

I've just started wearing my Forerunner 235 to bed and was wondering how reasonable the sleep figures were. The first night it says I got 6 hours of which 3 was deep (and obviously 3 light!). The second night it says I got 6:44 of which deep was 4:12. From looking online that seemed quite high, but looking further into it I'm guessing that the deep figure includes REM sleep. Is anyone able to confirm / share their sleep experiences so I can see if the figures are roughly right? I am a fairly deep sleeper and quite happily sleep through things like the kids crying or my alarm so it might just be me!

Thanks!

That's understandable. I take the metrics Garmin provides with a grain of salt, but I still find a good use for them. Mainly for motivational purposes, but things such as HR, intensity minutes, calories burned, etc. I can use to train better even with the knowledge that the numbers aren't precise because I find they're fairly within the ballpark. I had the VA3 also before it "bricked" on me a couple of months back. It was my first touch screen and my first impression was favorable. I've since switched to the FR935 and my view of the VA3 has changed. To me it's a device that does a lot OK, but nothing well compared to the 935.

Yes, but none of them I use for sleep analysis, although one of them has that capability (claimed at least).
