Cannot export activity

Former Member
Former Member
The last two activities I did didn't sync to Strava.

Following the Garmin documentation, I try to go to the Activities page, and use the 'Gear' icon to download a tcx/gpx file for the activities so I can upload to strava manually.

But, there is no Gear icon, nor any other way I can see to download the gpx data from the activity on the web page any more.

Why has this function been removed? Is this an "improvement" in the "modern" Connect site? Is there now some other way to do what I need to do?

Thanks

Location of cog and export options

So 'Selecting the activity in the activity list' isn't really that any more, as selecting those makes them go blue, and you can do multiple at once.

In fact you have to click the activity title.

But this leads to a new problem, in that clicking the activity title doesn't open the activity like in your example it just does ... nothing at all.

Developer console shows a ton of errors when I try and click on an activity link:ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1309163.png

It always meant clicking/tapping on the link to retrieve the page with the details of that single activity record, which procedurally meant clicking on the activity title, and not use the multi-select feature (clicking on the hollow checkbox in the previous UI; clicking within the area of the shaded oblong around an entry in the list in the current UI) to select just one line item and then apply a subsequent instruction to the selected line item(s) directly from the Activities page.

It's just that it used to be harder to multi-select (given the relatively small area of the checkbox, compared to the oblong) by mistake/misinterpretation, and it was a lot clearer that the Activity title is a link (presumably) to the activity record.

I encountered no problem retrieving an Activity details page in Firefox:

Bingo! Works for me in latest Firefox, Windows 10. Very annoying system. A double-click on an Activity should take you straight into that activity.
