"There was a problem communicating with your Garmin device"

I have a Vivoactive HR, I bought it 10 days ago. In Garmin Connect, it is synching steps, HR, stairs, and I'm getting notifications on my LG G5. But if I want to edit apps, I get "There was a problem communicating with your Garmin device". If I force stop the app it works. Weather doesn't update on watch regularly, only if I force stop the app. But, clearly there's a connection there, since other things are synching. Is this a typical problem with Garmin Connect?
