Strength training incorrect exercises

I do strength training and hope to use my Vivosport in conjunction with Garmin Connect to keep track of my lifts, reps, and weights. Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to do so. The vivosport often detects the wrong exercise (for example, an overhead press is detected as a bench press). This wouldn't be an issue if I could simply edit the exercise in Garmin Connect, but there appears to be no way to do that without deleting the incorrect exercise and adding a new one. This is tedious to do for all of my exercises, and I lose the other info that the vivosport gathered about the exercise, like the amount of time spent and the number of reps.

Does anyone use a similar device with Garmin Connect to document their resistance training? Am I missing something, because the device is pretty useless for my needs right now.
