Feature request: Colour coded heart rate zones on activity graph

It would be so useful to see heart rate zones overlaid on the activity graphs so we know which zone we were in at any point in time.

This would be good on both the app and website

Polar do do this really well... ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1300128.jpg
  • After today's workout, I thought it would be interesting to see the zones in the heart-rate graph, much like you see the other running telemetrics in accordance with your percentiles (i.e. vertical oscillation etc). It would be interesting to see in the graph when you were in zone X vs when you were in zone Z, as per the colour-coding that the time-in-zone bars show. Is that something that is possible? I would consider it useful in both the regular Connect as well as the mobile version.

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this subject, but if it's been raised before I'm sorry for the repetition.
  • Is that something that is possible?
    Not today.
  • I'm running Connect on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and everything syncs fine, etc. with my Vivosmart HR+. However, I changed my HR zones to use HRR instead MHR. After I did that, the daily HR chart line is a single color instead of changing color according to the zone at that point in time. It looks like the line color is the one corresponding to the highest zone for that day. So if I went to zone 5 in that day, it's red. On a day where I didn't do anything, it's blue. The charts on the cloud app are still fine.

Anyone else got the same problem? I've tried reinstalling the app but it's still the same.
  • Same problem here with a 'normal' Vivosmart HR. Also, the coloured line is something I haven't had until like a week or two ago so I was surprised it suddenly was a different colour than blue. But it's just one colour for the entire day.

Mine started doing the same thing on 7.27. The activity zones are correct but the timeline screen is tied to the max for the day. Was there an upgrade around that date.
  • Same problem, graph color of the full day corresponds to max hr during the day
  • It works for me in the All Day Heart Rate display.

Where I wished it worked is the heart rate display of recorded activities. Every activity I have ever recorded was all read. I would very much like the color coding there.
  • I find it baffling that they do it for all day HR, but not for activities (both GC web & mobile). I would have thought activities is where it'd be wanted the most.
  • I think it would be useful for the HR graph in Connect activities to have colour-coded HR zones similar to how they are displayed within the HR widget on the watches. It can often be hard to work out your effort level over certain stretches (and remember all your HR zone bpms).
  • Oh I found your post only now :(
I open the same request, so add my exemple photo here
