Garmin Connect + My fitness pal

After having a lot of trouble linking the my garmin connect & my fitness pal, I've now noticed that on garmin connect "weight" only displays BMI & Loss/Gain.
Since linking the accounts on Monday it's stopped displaying Body fat,Body water, Skeletal Muscle mass & Bone mass.
How can I get my connect to display this again ?

Thanks for any help.
  • Thats sadly a common problem with the connection between GC and MFP and there are severy other threads her in the Forum.

    To make it short:

Garmin Connects accepts additional metric like Body Fat, Bone Mass, etc. only from the Garmin Index Scale.
Once the data from the scale will be uploaded Garmin Connect, MyFitnessPal takes this information as well (the accounts are linked).
Now MyFitnessPal thinks that it knows something unique (your weight) and transfers it back to Garmin Connect.
Garmin Connect believes that this is a unique information and overrides the data from the scale with the weight which comes from MyFitnessPal.

The only way to solve that (at the moment) is to disconnect the accounts.

    Best regards
    Christian

I'm having similar problems getting my MFP to sync over to Connect. Hoping to see a fix soon.....I can't manually enter data into Garmin.

    Thanks for your replies.

After reading your comments about the problems with connect & MFP I unlinked them. I then tried to link MFP and my Training peaks account, still with the same result of not loading all my data to my connect account.
Now I only have Training peaks & Connect linked which has been like this for years but my garmin scales still only loads all the data sometimes...
This morning when I checked my connect was showing all the data for today's "weight", checked a few moments later and it was gone only showing BMI & Loss/Gain

    Garmin whats going on here?
  • This has NOTHING to do with MFP. I've never even tried MFP let alone connected it with Garmin. For me, as an example, I did a scale reading last Saturday and uploaded the data with metrics just fine. On Sunday I get a false weight reading and at that point the Saturday body metrics are wiped out. This has been going on for months. Somehow Garmin Connect or Garmin Mobile are creating extra weight readings with no metrics and somehow it also wipes out the real reading with metrics.

Garmin has to know this is going on. I know 4 people having the exact same problem. They don't use MFP at all but all body metric readings are erased on Garmin Connect.

Come on Garmin...this has been going on for a year now for some people. Fix the problem!
