The ability to add decimal points to weight in strength workouts

Strength workouts currently do not have the ability to input decimal points for the weight. For instance, if I'm using 2.5kg dumbbells, I need to put in 3 instead, and for me that's a big difference. I've tried doing it on the watch, on the mobile app and on the website, and nothing works. However, someone on a Thai Facebook group showed me that it worked on his Android device, so why not make it available on iPhone as well? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1297811.png
  • Tried to use Garmin Connect to track some strength training today and thought I must be missing something. How on Earth has this, basic, feature not been made available? Surely Garmin don’t think it’s unnecessary?
  • Just as an update to this."Alfie" at Garmin GB says that the ability to add decimals to a planned workout was enabled by accident and will be removed. For Garmin, the metric system "is not a feature we plan on using or implementing due to the reason I mentioned earlier". The reason given was ""this was a result of an investigation of several conversion-related issues".

    It's genuinely made me laugh.
  • What does the metric system has to do with decimals?
And implementing the metric system is not something Garmin plans to do?

All units on my watch is set to metric units - and have always been.

The response is just hilarious, and if Alfie is quoted correctly I just feel sad for the poor guy.

I copied and pasted exactly from the chat thread. It's utterly ridiculous, isn't it?

Apparently body weight can be measured to 0.1kg. Distance to 0.01m. But when doing strength exercises, Garmin is incapable of providing a means to record the weight lifted to 0.1kg. It's essentially an admission of incompetence.
  • Should be supported on watches too. When correcting a rep you need to readd weight and can't keep the original weight idnitbhad a decimal place.
