Good afternoon. Twice now, my Forerunner 920 changes the steps it shows when i sync. As an example of this, I went for a run yesterday at lunch. When I got back, I synced the watch at 130 pm. It had about 15,000 steps for the day. Later in the night, i synced the watch again. Before I synced it, it had about 16,800 steps on it. After I synced it, it went down to 13,500 steps! How is this even possible? This has happened to me twice now, and always happens after I reboot the watch. Here are some other issues I have been experiencing.
a) On the second page, (the one where you see have far you have went, calories burned, steps, etc) this always had the auto-goal showing. I have logged into Garmin connect, set my step goal to be 10,000, but this only appeared on the watch yesterday, after several reboots.
b) When I went to sync to wi-fi yesterday, the watch displayed a weird page showing firmware version, temperature, up time, etc. It was similar to a Linux kernel dump screen.
It goes without saying that my watch has the latest firmware, is up to date, etc.
Also, I still have a Forerunner 405 - which is perfect. No issues at all - ever - in 6 years!!
At any rate, can someone tell me why my steps actually GO DOWN after I reboot the watch?
