How to get total miles for a period

I've been trying to find an easy way to get total miles for the previous 12 months (or for any other period).

Problem is the "total miles" in the reports feature shows the total miles for each month, but doesn't add them up. I'd export the activities to excel and total there, but the export function only exports what is on screen, and only loads a screen full of activities at a time. It is possible to scroll down but would take an age for a full year of activities and I'm not prepared to do that.

For a "report total miles" function this seems a bit useless.

Am I missing somthing? Thanks
  • Which browser on which operating system are you using? I've tried it in both Safari and Chrome running on my Mac (OS X 10.11), and the Progress Summary feature is listed.

Also, are you able to access the Progress Summary page directly via the hyperlink I included above? (Click on the screenshot.)

With the link on the screen shot, I can get to that page now. Thank you! I was going through my GC account. I use Firefox on both a Mac at home, and PC at work. I'm not sure how to navigate there without the address you provided, but it's a great help and I'll book mark it now.

Would be cool to see a page where Garmin would tell you your total steps in a calendar year at the end of a year. It would be a great motivator. "Oh look! I really did get off my backside more this year!", or "Man, I was so lazy last year!"

*edit* I just realized that when I try to navigate on GC to the address provided, the page I keep landing on is https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report. Without the 's'. If I add the 's', I get your page. However, I can not find any direct link on the Report's page.

    Interesting.

It shows up on your report's page as "Progress Summary" under "Strength Training" while using Explorer, but with Firefox the last option is ST. Why would they not have that option on all browsers? Are they really that different?
