Vivosmart HR - cannot sync multiple activities

Hey guys.

I divided my swim today into 5 parts that I logged under the activity 'other'. I saved all properly and they showed up individually in my device history afterwards.
However when I synced my device to the Garmin Connect app only the last activity showed up.
I then installed Garmin Express and tried to import the files manually via. USB, but only the last activity (that was already synced) showed up in the activity folder.
When I disconnected from the computer the other 4 were deleted from the device history as well.

I've read a lot of older posts about this issue. In those threads Garmin say the issue is resolved with version 4.0 (in February 2017 I think). My device is fully updated but this is still a problem.
Anyone knows what to do? (I also tried the advice with deleting the debug files and the unused language files - and will see if this fixes it going forward, but I would still like to hear if anyone has other solutions).

Thanks in advance

    Noone knows anything?
I can say that deleting the language files and things in the debug folder did not solve the problem.

I'm having similar issues from time to time (some days it works okay, and some days it doesn't).

I'll do two or three activities during breaks at work and then sync via my computer when I get home (my phone isn't compatible, so that's my only option). Today, only one activity synced, even though I know I recorded three. When I looked at the saved activities on my device, there was only one on there. Everything else (from today and previous days) is gone. We get points in a corporate wellness program for activity, so it's frustrating when they disappear before I can get it synced.

I've also tried deleting some of the folders on the Garmin. When I contacted support, they suggested deleting the ACTIVITY folder and the NEWFILES folder in case they might've been corrupted. I've done that a couple of times and it continues to happen periodically, so that didn't seem to solve it.
