Activities Sort Issue

I have noticed this in the past - but was reminded again. Figured I'd throw it out there to see if i'm somehow messing this up or at least to maybe get it on Garmin's radar.

On the activities page, within a certain activity category, Running for instance: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/ac...tyType=running if you click an arrow/data-field on the top of each column it seems it should sort it by that info. When clicked it does sort... or at least it seems it does, but then as you look down the column it quickly becomes apparent that they are not sorted. Happens with very field I tried (cadence, avg HR, max HR, avg Pace)

In case it matters: Using Chrome or Explorer

  • Garmin Connect Activity sorting is not working. When sorting activities by anything other date the results are not displayed properly. The attachment below shows Running activities sorted by Avg Pace Low to High, they are on the lower end but the lowest results aren't showing and as you can see they are not sorted properly. The only thing that seems to sort properly is Date. If I export the .csv file an open it in Google Sheets I can sort it properly by any column.

  • So I logged into Garmin Connect from a different computer with a different operating system and used a different browser just to check and see if maybe it was computer/software related. But the problem still persists. I would like to give my user name and password to someone from Garmin Support so they can maybe check to see what the issue is. I never had this sort problem till recently and I am now assuming it is something with the data base that is causing the problem.
  • I am experiencing the same thing. It doesn't seem to matter what category you try to sort, the results do not seem to make sense.

    A year ago Garmin Connect sorted average pace perfectly. Now that Garmin made "improvements" to the website, it does not do this correctly anymore. Bummer. I wish someone would look into this.
  • I tried setting up another account and upload my 910XT's data to test to see if it is something with the data on my account but it won't sync the old data on my watch. It keeps saying it is synced and up to date but no data appears.
    Anyone watching this thread have any ideas on how to sort the data other then downloading the .csv file every time and running it on a spread sheet? I have look into Strava but they say it will only sync the last 90 days then you have to individually import every other activity individually. Not a great choice since I have data back to 2012 that I would need to import.

    Thanks for any ideas, getting desperate.
  • I submitted the issue to Garmin Support yesterday Nov.28. Haven't heard back yet.
    I'm guessing the it is only effecting a few people otherwise I'd assume they would be flooded with complaints.
    Garmin Connect does no good to me if I can't analyze my progress by sorting the data.
    I will update if I hear anything.

    Maybe everyone is just sick of pointing out all the bugs. This is impacting me but I'm tired of being a beta tester. Its not just Garmin, its most software - the public are now their test team.

  • Here the same, but neither date you can sort in a different way than what appear.
