Activities Sort Issue

I have noticed this in the past - but was reminded again. Figured I'd throw it out there to see if i'm somehow messing this up or at least to maybe get it on Garmin's radar.

On the activities page, within a certain activity category, Running for instance: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/ac...tyType=running if you click an arrow/data-field on the top of each column it seems it should sort it by that info. When clicked it does sort... or at least it seems it does, but then as you look down the column it quickly becomes apparent that they are not sorted. Happens with very field I tried (cadence, avg HR, max HR, avg Pace)

In case it matters: Using Chrome or Explorer

Having the same issue. Extremely easy to reproduce in both Chrome and Edge browser on Windows 10.

Same issue for me...Tested on Chrome and Edge.

  • I've received a reply of the Garmin Product Support:

"There is a problem with sorting the activity list in Garmin Connect. This issue will be resolved in a future update of Garmin Connect. We apologize for the inconvenience."

There was no indication of a timing.

Not working for me either. I see this issue arose previously based on older posts. Seems such an obvious use case for the app not to be working.

  • I wonder if our data is corrupt in some way as the function to sort data must be an 'off the shelf' solution/piece of code? Wonder what the problem was 3 years ago?

We, the users, do not have the access to the code, so we cannot tell you the exact reason. And Garmin will certainly not publish the exact cause here. It could be missaligned database indexes, it could be a bug in the coding, and a number of other reasons, but it is a new issue - it was working all right in the past few years.

  • It's now 3 years later and still it does not work (at least in my case). Do i mis something?

As far as I can tell, this is a new issue, not the same one 3 years old. At least it was sorting all right for me until recently.

  • I have this exact issue. It must have only started a week or so ago. I have contacted support and was told nothing other than that it is a known issue. Having previously worked in customer support, that doesn’t really mean much
