Training Effect - Confused

Yesterday I had a steady run, 8 miles @ sub-7. Heart rate average in high 160s, 80% of the time was spent in Zone 3 or Zone 4. I finished my run and the 'recovery time' was 0 hrs, training effect assignment was 1 and my calories were 600 (usually for an 8 mile run at this pace I can count on ~800 cal). On a typical run like this, the TE would be 3.5-low 4 and the recovery time would be 24-48 hrs. I was wearing the heart rate strap on this particular run and figured that maybe my HR reading was erratic/spotty but, after checking the HR profile for the activity on Garmin connect, the reading was continuous and looks reliable. Any ideas what could be going on? Thanks.
