Displaying sleep - broken

Please have a look at the 3 attached screenshots showing my sleep data from last 3 nights.

Each shows sleep in a different way. The first one shows sleep patterns outside bed time and wake time. The second hides data outside the sleeping hours. The third shows sleep pattern before bedtime but hides it after wake up time. I am quite convinced that until recently sleep patterns were shown as seen on the second image, i.e. anything outside sleeping hours was hidden. Now it's quite inconsistent and unpredictable. It is even worse in the mobile app (android), because the wake up time outside sleeping hours is added to the night's wake up time.

Does anyone see similar symptoms?
  • Last two nights my sleep history has been showing like you display in picture 2 - however before that it was like in picture 1, at least for several days - didn't check too far back. Maybe Garmin implemented a change recently to fix this?
  • I don't think so. The thing is that now nights that previously displayed like number 2, are displayed differently when viewed today. Previously all my sleeps were displayed like number 2, and now both current and past nights (ones that were displayed correctly when I viewed them a couple of days ago) are displayed randomly. All the screenshots were made today.

And - as I remarked - it is even worse in Garmin Connect Mobile. So Garmin did not fix anything recently. They broke it.
  • I can second that. As of today, all sleep going back appears to be messed up, both in the Mobile app and on the website. Most likely, they broke the data returned by Garmin Connect service. Happens all the time. No QA at Garmin, what for?
  • I have the same issue. I opened a ticket at Garmin. They recognize the issue and are investigating.

Same here. All historical sleep times are wrong now.

My sleep stats on Garmin Connect have been haywire from last Wednesday night 13/12/17 onwards too. The total sleep time displayed does not equal my deep + light sleep.

For example one night I supposedly had 1hr 48 deep sleep and 1h 49 light sleep - yet Garmin Connect shows this as a total of 5hrs 5. It is excluding/losing at least one hour every night.
  • GC Mobile got an update , but the sleep time bug was not corrected. I hope Garmin is really working on this.
  • Mine also has been broken - when looking at past data. If I forgot to turn off sleep in the morning, and then go back to edit the wake time, it used to calculate the amount of sleep, given the new wake time. Now, since app update, past days show like #1, but calculate as though I was asleep the whole time.
Also,it seems like the time zone is now off - you can see in the photo that the sync time was 7:02am, but wake time of 6:15 shows as 7:15am...
