How do I export GPS data?

How do I export my GPS data so I can use it in third party apps?

I see this 'feature'

However, it is not clear to me where these toolbar items are.

I've also read this guide:

In this guide I cannot see a gear icon in the top right corner. My view looks like this:

You need to open up the activity. You won't see it just looking at the list of activities.

Thanks guys. I took select to mean 'click on it so it is highlighted' as opposed to 'open the activity'.

For what it's worth I attempted to search for 'export gps data' but did not immediately find anything with that.

Open your activity, click on the little cog looking wheel near the top right hand corner of the screen - save as course.
