HR Chart Gaps

I have multiple garmin devices, using a vivoactive 3 and a 520 currently. my 24/7 HR chart has gaps in it when I remove my vivoactive and go for a ride using my 520, I have a HR strap connected during my ride and data available in my fit file. it would seem reasonably simple to plot the HR data from the 520 in the gaps of the vivactive data, additionally it seems that the my day page on the vivoactive should be a 2 way link to my connect mobile app so that calories etc are up to date on my wrist with whats on my phone. im not sure if this is a update for the vivoactive 3 or the connect app.

or maybe there is a setting im missing that will get me what im after.
  • I can't be the only person who wants or would benefit from a multi source HR chart on connect.
  • Have you figured this out? I have the same issue, I've even tried connecting both the Edge and the watch to the same chest strap and taking my watch with me in my cycling jersey pocket when going for a ride so it still picks up the HR data, but it doesn't work Disappointed

  • Changing the GCM Device Setting » Activity Tracking » Preferred Activity Tracker should help, though it is a bit inconvenient having to do it manally each time you swap devices. Turning on Physio TrueUp on both devices (if they are both compatible with that feature), may perhaps take care of it automatically, but I cannot test it for the cofirmation, since I do no use multiple devices with the feature.

  • Thanks for the reply! Physio TrueUp is always turned on for both devices and the Edge doesn't have the option of preferred activity tracker.
